IMPORTANT: The facility will close March 17, 2003. Please direct all concerns related to this facility to the ASO main offices instead.
The Dunkeltaler Array is a state-of-the-art facility erected in 1973 to recieve signals and electromagnetic frequencies from the vastness of space. Built on the site of the former Dunkeltaler National Park in the Dunkeltaler forest in the Swiss Alps, the facility enjoys picturesque views and breathtaking scenery. Managed by the Alpen Signal Observatorium in cooperation with STOLAS, our staff can be sure they're in good hands 24/7.

Our facility is kept clean and tidy to the best of our ability, and provides sleeping quarters for numerous employees, allowing them to enjoy the bleeding edge of radio astronomy tech while taking a scenic vacation in the Swiss Alps at the same time. We are not currently hiring for this facility, but if you wish to be notified when we do you may send an E-mail to dunkeltaler@aso.ch by clicking here.
